With its stunning views, secure location, and impressive staff, Olive Branch Villa offered us a getaway like none other. We needed a mid-size villa for our family gathering, which included several children and teens. Olive Branch seemed the best choice in the Ocho Rios area that would give us a combination of beauty, security, and proximity to sites we wanted to visit. We made the right choice, but for reasons beyond those we started with. The Villa is gorgeous, every amenity available, and centrally located to everything, but it was the STAFF that made this stay stand out above any other we’ve ever had. The lead butler, Jerry, anticipated our every need long before we thought of it. His calm demeanor is the utmost in professionalism and tact. His assistant, Clayton, focused on making sure the children were entertained and enjoying themselves. From billiard tournaments to cornhole matches, to teaching them how to fold dinner napkins into myriad shapes, Clayton was simply wonderful company for all of us. Winston the chef stands head and shoulders above his peers— literally. At 6’4”, he towers over everyone, but so does his talent. We were given an expansive menu from which to choose; every meal was superb, creative, and beautifully plated, often using ingredients supplied fresh from the property’s immaculate gardens. Godfrey, the groundskeeper, has done a phenomenal job incorporating the existing fruit and nut trees with a lovely array of culinary herbs and tropical flowers that made each corner of the property its own little haven. He spent a good deal of time collecting and harvesting fresh almonds for our nut-loving daughter, and shared some of his vast knowledge of the ‘bush,’ passed down from generations. Adella, the housekeeper, was patient with our collection of almond shells and guava peels, and the never ending pile of pool towels. The entire house was kept sparkling and perfectly tidy, an impressive feat with teenagers around! We come away from our visit feeling refreshed and well cared-for, but mainly feeling grateful for the sense that we have gained family. Having traveled extensively worldwide, we can attest that the owner has curated a truly remarkable staff. Excellence of this level is a rarity, and we thank you.
